Justice Tech association was profiled this month in Attorney at Law magazine’s feature titled “Justice Tech Association Supports Consumer-Facing Legal Tech.” The piece highlighted the reasons behind JTA’s founding, the need for regulatory reform, and growing momentum of the sector. Founding member and Courtroom5 CEO Sonja Ebron noted, “We felt that by banding together, we would have an opportunity to share information about the sector and consumer demand.. and have a common voice on advocacy around regulatory reform.”

The feature also highlighted the cutting-edge nature of the justice tech sector and its appeal as a disruptor of age-old systems. As Sonja pointed out: “There’s lots of investment in this sector. Some VCs are hesitant to invest in Justice Tech – solutions designed to directly empower legal consumers – for the same reasons most investors passed on Uber, AirBnB, and other disruptors in a regulated space, However, each of the JTA founders leads a VC-funded company – though more funds are needed.”
