JTA founding members came out strong in support of the work underway in California to develop informed policymaking so that more people can access legal help. Erin Levine, CEO of Hello Divorce and Camila Lopez, CEO of People Clerk, commented on pending action by the state’s Bar Association and legislature that would prohibit continued exploration of regulatory reform to increase access to justice. “The problem right now is this: The current rules around legal services restrict what we can offer, to the detriment of consumers.”
